Reports claim the 20-year-old winger will cost the Gunners around £16.6 million and he will treble his earnings by moving to Highbury.
Reyes is expected to arrive at Highbury this week to complete a medical and meet his new team-mates and the player's own website claims he could make his Premiership debut against Manchester City

Nope, not all of them. I've never heard of him. But then I've never had any real interest in Spanish football.
So he's a winger, eh? I do question the wisdom of signing another midfielder, though. I'd have thought a striker would be the better option, personally.

All I can say is that I hope Wenger's eye for unknowns has worked its magic again. But if anyone can make the kid a true star, Wenger can.
Who had really paid any serious attention to Henry before he joined Arsenal? Or Vieira? Or Toure?
It's sure is a hell of a lot of money if things don't work out... though not quite as much as United paid for the - ahem - 'proven' talents of Veron! ;-p
Still, we all know Wenger's penchant for bargain buys of unknown players. If he's willing to pay THAT much, especially at a time when Arsenal are (allegedly) a little strapped for cash because of the new stadium, he must be fairly certain of the guy's quality.
Time - as they say - will tell.

Sevilla won that game 4-1, and while his performance i that game was brilliant, I don't think it was the best I'd seen him play.
And Reyes is genuinely a really good player, can be a proper team player rather than ball-hogging Ronaldo, and faster than Arjen Robbenor Ricardo Quaresma.
The only players I think that could equal or better him in terms of both potential and current skill, and also have the benefit of youth are Fernando Torres, captain of Atletico Madrid, and Rafael van der Vaart, captain of Ajax.
It does look like they spent a bit too much on him, especially on a continental player who is unproven in the fast paced game of the Premiership, but then again Manchester United spent too much on Ronaldo, and he surprised me how quickly he fitted in.
Reyes could be an asset for the future, and if his first season goes well, Wenger could sell him on for profit.
lol :D
He's actually a great player according to Champ Man 4 anyway. Heh. He's one of the young players I'll always get when I start new games, because he's reliable, and his stats improve as the game progresses.
i mentioned nothing of the real game and i did know stuff about him.
