Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has boosted his Champions League hopes by signing Spain international Jose Antonio Reyes from Sevilla.

Reports claim the 20-year-old winger will cost the Gunners around £16.6 million and he will treble his earnings by moving to Highbury.

Reyes is expected to arrive at Highbury this week to complete a medical and meet his new team-mates and the player's own website claims he could make his Premiership debut against Manchester City

Can you show me a link that proves that?

Because from what ive read, the fee is £20 million +

Sevilla also state that it was more than what Real paid for Beckham and that was £25 million

We actually paid an initial £10.5 million and £6.5 million more depending on appearances.

I would say that's a personal opinion rather than IB being speculative? :)
You don't have to support a team to make a comment on them, everyone does it, everyone has opinions.. just like you do.

Can you stop getting all speculative about Arsenal when you don't even support them.. just wait and see what he does.

Bit of a difference between 12 million (which is a lot for an 18 yr old) and £25 million which is more than double that amount for a player who is still very young and unproven, good yes, but world class? not. At £25 million you expect a player to be just about complete and with the price of player depreciating, that is a hell of a lot of money for someone who is 'good' and has potential.

Im not sure if Sevilla beat Real 5-2 but that doesn't mean they are a better team does it? Real Madrid are the best and most succesful team in Spain and maybe even the world? the player himself doesn't even know that.

Maybe Arsene will send him to school first? :)

Time will only tell if he is a good buy for the Gunners, but Wenger does seem to buy well most of the time.

One uses CM as the basis of all footy knowledge. In my version, he is good.

Not godly, others are better, but certainly good.

Oh, and Christiano Ronaldo played well on his debut and Man U fans exploded with praise. Since then he has, um. Played some games. Anything else?

And didn't Sevilla beat Real 5-2?

Yup, so the total finanacial agreement including transfer fee, the number of games played for club & country in future, agent fee's, prem fees etc must exceed £25 mill which is a lot of money for someone yet to be proven at the highest level.

Oh, it should also be reminded that last time Arsenal smashed their transfer record, you ended up with Wiltord, the crappy bit-part player set to leave for nothing.
