[s]Hmmm...[/s] A backup of this service (all the site data, media and the service software) is done daily off-site. This is intended for us to use as disaster recovery (if we lost the builder server for example do to severe hardware failure). If for some reason an InstantPro site was lost the we could also restore that also (as long as it hadn't just been built and not backed up yet!).
I am of the thinking that the InstantPro sites are not hosted on the same servers as the standard web hosting, however I could be wrong.
And I know in the past we have been able to recover lost and deleted InstantPro sites.
I have to admit though that I can not 100% confirm this info.
One of my clients is intending to make more use of Freeola InstantPro web sites in the future (just waiting for the Google Adsense / JavaScript plugin to be available).
If their InstantPro site had been on web server 7 would Freeola have been able to restore the data as obviously using FTP to 'republish' the files wouldn't be an option for an InstantPro site?
I have raised this query before:
Eccles replied -
Backup is pretty much the same as on out standard hosting. It's not there for people to rely on but rather for our peace of mind so the service doesn't completely disappear should something like a hardware failure occur.
We have though about providing some sort of backup service where you could download a file containing all your settings and pictures for example but this would require a lot of work and extensive testing.
Just thought I would ask to see what the current situation is as obviously if someone had spent many hours/days creating a large InstantPro site it would be disappointing to lose everything!
Thanks.

Replied to your ticket from yesterday regarding the site not displaying.

Yes I see that, give me time to do them as recreating that link isn't the easiest thing to do :(
