The Wachowski brothers, who may I add no f*** all about developing games, thought the technology Shiny were using was impressive, and so got the deal. Shiny had also invested a lot of money in the technology, so it's just as well.

Just watch the ruddy Gameplay footage.

Duck. Look up. Auto aim kicks in. Press fire. Watch Shoddy death animation. Duck. Repeat.

And then there's the street racing bit (through a jungle?). Just look at it's utter BS'ness

And yes. Simply sticking a license on something that is bad isn't good now is it?

People who know f*** all about gaming just stroll into a shop and pick it up, simply because of the license. That's the genius of EA. And that's why they probably own so many damn licenses.

Actually, come to think of it, I'm suprised they never took the Matrix License, expecially seeing as they have ties with Warner Bros. with Harry Potter n all

Is that such a bad thing though? You're not forced into buying the game you know.

And how do you know EoN will be sub standard, you haven't even played it yet.

Heh Heh, so true

It's not that they publish really awful games or anything, they just release sub-standard games. They know if they smack a license on a game, it'll sell, so they don't have to work too hard on it. Just look at Everything or Nothing.

EA Big though. They rock muchly. SSX Tricky, SSX3 and Def Jam Vendetta are all fantastic games.

Fifa 2002-2004, 007: Nightfire, Freekstyle, Sled Storm 2, MOH: Rising Sun, The Sims but to name a few. I know some were EA Big titles but its still an EA product.

Hopefully they'll bring forward the single player game to more of an advanced Perfect Dark clone. The single player in 2 almost felt like a step back from Goldeneye in places, a more coherent storyline would be nice too.

Good to see that Microsoft are sorting things out with EA though, I expect to see some excellent Live play when it gets released.
