Any number of reasons. Oil possibly, attempts (note 'attempts') to strangle terrorism, remove a dictator nobody liked (but quite happily supplied arms to), actually find WMDs. Personally, 'War on Terror' is first of all an oxymoron, and secondly a bit specificly done. I wonder what they will do about the Tamil Tigers, or Eta'a, or the IRA, or indeed Columbian paramilitary groups? It's all a bit loose for my liking, and not at all really looking at the reasons why people attack the West, except for being 'EVIL!!!!'.

No my simple minded friend Iraq will benifit from this war they are free from sudam husain and the al-qui-eda (Sorry about the spelling if its wrong) and can now do things that most of them have never done before.
Eat ice cream for example although I was thinking about this one because by the way we and the americans are leading Iraq were really not that much better.
