Shouldn't people hiding your stuff finish when you leave school?

I'm actually really upset about this in a confusing yet l;ocking my self away on the toilet and sobbing way, so any immanture remarks are best kept to yourself.

Part of my work is helping out one of the girls I work with called Afroditi to isolate white blood cells from whole blood. I go and collect a box which contains a syringe full of blood in it.

Today I brought the box into the lab and went to put on my lab coat. When I got back to the box there was no blood in it, so I assumed that the hospital had forgotten to put the syringe in.

Another girl from the lab then called me over to ask some advice about something else, when I got back from doing that I told Afroditi that there was no blood in the box, so she opened it up and there the blood was.

Know I feel so syupid, I feel like a complete idiot for making a fool of myself, and for getting set up, and asked for my advice, when the only reason was to get me out of the way.

Dramatic I know, but I wanted to be dead, then I wanted the people who had done it to be dead, and I think there is something wrong with me, because this is such a small thing and I've gone completely to pieces over it. I just needed to tell someone, and here is the only outlet I have right now.

Guaranteed to set my teeth on edge and make me see thered mist. Quite possibly the only thing worse is "Theres plenty more pebbles on the beach, you just have to be a little boulder"...............................

I feel that the best way to exact revenge and make yourself feel better is to sleep with somebody else.

The last person who hid an item of mine whilst at work ended up in hospital after I hit him with my keyboard.

Then I realised that he hadn't hidden the keyboard from me after all.

How we all laughed.

It's just a joke - think of it as a way of acceptance, even though I don't know how long you've worked there or anything. Think about it - would you play a practical joke on someone you weren't sure would laugh? You could have gone mental and stabbed them all with syringes, but they knew you could be trusted to take it with good humour.

At one of my old jobs, someone put a cucumber slice on the ear piece of my phone and then hooked it up. It rang, I answered - cucumber ear! But it was just a big joke, which I took in the right spirit. Never got him back though, no matter how hard I tried...

Being the only kid from my primary school going into my high school meant I didn't know anyone. No friends. I got a LOT of flack for the first few years. Sometimes, certain people can still upset me. I don't know how, or why, but it happens. Sometimes it's what they say, sometimes it's the way they say it.

But surely someone hiding something from you then putting it back as a joke can't be THAT serious? It's not like they hid it from you and kept it JUST to make your day harder, was it? It was a quick trick, a joke, something that they probably thought you'd laugh it, since it wasn't particulary nasty.

You may have gone through some stuff, but from what you've said, what they did was nothing spectacular, just slightly ignorant.

I don't think you're overreacting, Ros.

I got picked on a lot at school and nowadays when people do something like that, or if a couple of friends 'gang up' and make a joke about me, I sometimes literally have to hold my breath so I don't break down and cry. Sounds silly, I know, but some things are very hard to forget or get over, especially when the original occurrences happened during the most turbulent time of almost everyone's life: puberty.

What to do? I don't know, I'm afraid - like I said it still affects me. The best advice I can give is to do what I do: give yourself the benefit of the doubt and believe that they're your friends and that they wouldn't do it to someone they didn't like. Obviously, if it's something nasty that's been done then think the opposite!

Ros don't you dare feel silly what those girls did was spiteful and unnecassary - to them it may have been a petty joke but they must of made you feel isolated and ganged up against - thats completely out of line and they should be grown up enough to think how would they feel in that circumstance.

Its alright if your pulling the joke and on the outside but if your the one left to deal with spiteful 'jokey' behaviour it just is not pleasant.

End note - there poo head be-atches.

How did it end? Did he buy you all plain white mugs with the company logo drawn on with crayon?
