Who likes Manga movies? I do.

Akira was great. And the Street Fighter one wasan't bad either.

They are a bit porny and mind boggling. Yet, I accept them into my family.

Wahooo.

Hurrah! Sakura Wars finally gets a release, and 5 hours worth too, plus Amazon is doing it at 22.49 which is cheper than Play.com.

Rosalind, you mention the original Macross series, now is this the Robotech The Macross Saga R1 set (about 14 DVDs) which is made up of

Robotech - The Macross Saga - Complete Collection
Robotech - The Masters - Complete Collection
Robotech: The New Generation - Complete Collection

(making 14 DVD discs in total)

?

Or is there another Macross series?

A few people are still calling it Manga in this thread, this might be because the only animes they've seen were made almost or well over a decade ago and released by Manga Entertainments. Trust me, over the last decade quite a few hundred new animes have come and gone.

Unfortunately the UK isn't getting as much anime as America gets so if you can't buy animes from places like Play.com and CDwow.com then your choices are very limited. www.advfilms.co.uk ADV Films mainly release the most animes in the UK. Although a lot of anime fans would call their current stuff, very dated.

30th January Sci Fi will be showing a new anime. Excel Saga unfortunately I wouldn't count any anime fan actually bothering to watch it as it will be shown at 5:30am

Neon Genesis Evangelion fans can look at more design art from the live action movie being made. www.aintitcoolnews.com/ [space] display.cgi?id=16790

Just finished watching Macross 7 a few days ago, took 2 sittings though....52 episodes, 4 part series, 2 part series, topped off by the movie!

Still think Macross Zero is the best one though despite it only being 3 episodes with a final one forthcoming.
