Had to force myself to like it at times.
Tomorrow's episode better be good.

you stole my MSN nickname.
"And if I want any advice from you, it'll be about mortgages alright?"
"Let's bluesky it"
"Bluesky it? Yeah, I mean, let's run it up the flagpole and see if the cat sucks me off"
And the two bits that made me rewind?
"Should've phoned ahead" "It's not a doctor is it?" "Should've phoned ahead" "I'm not going to phone ahead" "...should've phoned ahead"
Tim's face when he realises Dawn's coming back for the Xmas party.
It's sublime. But it's on BBC1 now and the nation likes it, so scenesters are going to be all "Yeah, the 1st series was better".
Obviously nobody here, I mean other people.
"Look at you pointy nose boy...Pinnochio, have someone's eye out with that"
Gareth flaps hand under chin looking at camera.
"Why should you? WHY should you?"
"C'mon David, you're nowhere near famous enough to have a look-a-like"
"...You're supposed to big me up."
Can't wait for Tim/Dawn party meeting. Oh, and Keith was superb in his Wet T-Shirt bit.
And the cringe-factor at the Blind Date contest was hideous. Made me cover my eyes when he came out like Austin Powers....*winces*
It's the non-funny moments that make this show for me.
Tim's face when that woman is describing her husband's karma-sutra adventures, "And he's right up inside me, and I'm just rocking, it allows for deeper penetration" with Tim just staring miserably into space. You know he's thinking "What am I doing with my life? I'm going to die in this office and nobody will remember me".
Or Brent when his agent says "You'll need to dry clean that"
"Really? What if there was a little tear in it? What if it was f###ing ripped?" and staring at the floor.
It's pathos and the horrible realisation that you'll never, ever be cool or funny or have the good job and house.
The best part of the two series for me wasn't the dance or the other funny bits, it was Brent almost in tears at the end of series 2, begging for his job back "Please don't sack me, please...I know I can do better...please".
It's moments and feelings we've all had in one situation or other, just slightly altered.
I can't wait to see the party tonight, I want to see Dawn & Tim. I think they'll never get it together, it'll make it more painful.
Oh, also worth mention is Gareth's "lalalala, I didn't officially hear that" agenda chat. And Brent's desperate scrabble to try and equal Neil's gorgeous doctor fiance.
