Mad World rules, I got my copy of the single.
And it was a £1 more expensive than the Darkness track.
Nice to see the overpriced £4 single of Avid Merriem getting in at number 4. Changes dropping to number 3 and the poor pop idols at a pathetic number 5.

Mad World was 11/2 last week to be number one, was going to put a tenner on it, and didn't. ggrrrr
Darkness have much better songs than there christmas track but then again i think they've already released all there good songs allready
I don't like "Don't let the bells end." I prefer Growing on me.
Mad World is a perfect reflection of what has happened throughout the world in the last year.
It may have been produced 2 years ago for the Donnie Darko soundtrack (which I own) but that doesn't stop it deserving this victory.
It's a beautiful haunting Christmas number 1. Although the Darkness' claim to fame was a good rock and roll laugh which deserves the good number 2 position.

Yup, Mad World. Excellent. A good Christmas number one for once.
