Firstly, it's good to see you back posting in here Wookie.
--------------
Of course he's gonna come back when Arsenal win away in Europe; we won't see him for another 5 years now!
=D
Secondly, Arsenal's victory in Italy was decent specially with the player's that were out injured/suspended but it must be dissapointing and frustrating as an Arsenal fan to not understand why the players have failed to put in similar performances and results at Highbury and away at lesser grounds when it mattered but waited until it was a 'do or die' game to perform in Europe?
Arsenal have been pretty impressive in the premeirship, so it's certainly not down to their ability. If it was United in a similar situation, I would certainly question my team's bottle in Europe.

But they're still SCOOT!
:D
Lets take a walk down memory lane shall we?
Which league has;
A) Actually famous players? Outside of Scotland? :D
B) Had more European champions?
C) Is actually worth watching AT ALL?
D) Been called the greatest/one of in the world
E) In Championship Manager, why do players want to leave Celtic and Rangers fo 'bigger clubs' and yet not for Liverpool, Arsenal and Man U?
Hehehe! :P
Can any English team (except maybe Man U - not sure about them) boast that record?
> Oo, good results for Celtic and Rangers recently, eh AJ?
I hate Rangers, so I really couldn't care if they can't win in Europe.
And Celtic, yes, they have had a recent run of good results, actually. Top of their group, yup?
Talk about digging a hole... :-)

You post that, and then...

Have the nerve to say that?
Pot, kettle, black!

Did you not read my last post? No-one CARES about the "nearly men". It counts for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Failing in the QF is no better than failing in the first round.

Excuse me, but I think you'll find all the hype is from the media, not the fans. It's nice to have set a(nother) new record, but we're only a third of the way through the season and only one point clear. Any Arsenal fan who thinks we've won the league needs to slap themselves around the face a few times and remember last season.
Getting back to the CL win - results like 5-1 in Milan is the sort of result that Arsenal SHOULD have been getting regularly for the last few years. Everyone - including ManYoo fans, if they are truly honest - knows that Arsenal are certainly *capable* of that. The mystery is why they haven't acheived it.
Now I personally don't believe that we have suddenly, miraculously, 'clicked' in Europe and are going to march on to win it. It's a good result, but we have to produce those results consistently. We still have a game to win to be sure of going through. But NO-ONE will convince me that it was purely a fluke, lucky result. We played well (though not our best), and it was very well deserved.

Pretty much my point.
All I ever hear is "Arsenal should be doing better in the CL by now, they've been at it long enough."
But not yet as long as it took United to win it for the first time.
That's *all* I'm saying.
You're like one of those arrogant 16-year-old kids at college, who see good things as "Mint" and "Baaad", and have to compare everything to say the one is always better than the other!
Grow-up!!
And anyway; comparing a "natural goal-scorer" like Ruud van Nistelrooy to a "versitile attacker" like Thierry Henry just doesn't make sense, really, does it...!
You can say what you like about us only having one the things once - but at least WE'VE fecking won it!! And look at the number of times we've come 'close' to doing it, only to fail in the quarter-finals or the semi's - and yet, you lot can't even get that far, with all that "superiority" you (apparently) have over us!
And we all know the reason why United have only done so-well is because people's expectations are too high; like the idiots of today who believe England are a team capable of beating the likes of France and Spain, next summer, to life the European Cup in Portugal!
We win a few big-games, well, and because of our reputation, everyone thinks we're gonna go all-the-way.
It's similar to you Arsénal fans, and how, after winning a few games in a row, you act like you've won the bloody league already.
...Only, this is on a much-bigger scale, for us.
And anyway, as manay pundits have said in the past: "all the very best teams leave it 'til the last-minute". :)

If experience alone was the only factor in winning a given trophy, perhaps people could be more critical of Utd not consistently winning absolutely EVERYTHING.
However - and this is an important point - it is not.
