So if we DO ger broadband, the BB will be installed on just one of the computers and the other will not have access. SO we are going to have to get a network thing to share the broadband.
So can you answer these folling questions I have about it:
- Will the speed of the broadband be split in half if we network it?
- Will the main computer have to be switched on for the other to use it?
- Does the broadband computer have to be switched on constantly?
- Does networking take up load of space on both computers?
Any advice etc will be appreciated.
But we're using a router etc though, it's pretty easy apparently.

Damn you boy. I only have the Pipex 512k.
And as for you Gamecubegeezer, it's a top notch company that's won many awards for its broadband service. Your problem is that you see too many ISP tv ad's and get mezmorized by the popular, yet crappier ISP's!

So, to re-cap: they're rubbish because you've never heard of them? Well, they've been around for as long as I've been using the Internet, back when 14,400bps modems were top of the range and people like you were still pooing their nappies.
I've been with them since 1997 on dial-up and switched to DSL in March of this year. In all that time I haven't been able to connect less than 10 times, and a couple of those were BT's fault.
Pillock.
