This one closes on April 1st, but it's not an April fool.

Over the coming weeks we are upgrading our search engine. It's having a triple destructurisation operation and invisible lurking terms enhancements.

The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.

If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.

If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.

Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.

Closes 9 am on April 1st, 2001.

I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.

Dreamcast searches:

PSO shows nothing rather than Phantasy Star Online. Also JSR doesn't show Jet Set Radio. MSR however does show Metropolis Street Racer.

People do like to use acronyms so makesure that you can find what you want using them.

Also PS and PS2 searches for MGS come up blank.

Sorry, nothing was found matching your search word(s) and selected product group:

POKEMON STADUIM

I have also tried a search for your search word(s) in our entire database and found nothing. Sorry.

This is bad, the biggest Nintendo product ever not found in SR search database thing! FIX IT!

I mean uh....'POKEMON STADUIM' doesn't work

Probably because I tried to see if it worked with the wrong spelling but anyhoo...

'Peripherals' doesn't return any Non-PC peripherals. You don't get memory cards or controllers etc. I think people might search for that especially seeing as most of today's youngsters know all these fancy computer words.

Er...'top 10 n64 games' doesn't work, might be because there aren't 10 good n64 games (Joking I am a Ninty Fan) but if people want to look at the best games around they won't find it through the search engine!

It is purely product related lads, (and ladies) it doesn't matter about gameaday, you just need to worry about things like games and hardware.

Filmaday and Gameaday both give you no hits, although you would have to be pretty stupid not to see the links!

XBOX (X-BOX X BOX X - BOX)

gives you a the hit:
£20 DEPOSIT FOR THE XBOX (X-BOX X BOX X - BOX)

However "Microsoft" gives you no hit for the X-box,

As "Sega" gives you a hit for Dreamcast and "Sony" gives you a hit for Playstation 1 and 2 and Nintendo gives you a hit relating to the Gamecube then maybe you would want to change this?

RELEASE DATE
RELEASES
TBA
These searches give you no hits,

RELEASE gives you 3 PC products

It would be nice if these searches linked to the new releases, although admittedly you can go to each consoles page and see the new releases immediately!

April Fool gives no hits either!
