This one closes on April 1st, but it's not an April fool.

Over the coming weeks we are upgrading our search engine. It's having a triple destructurisation operation and invisible lurking terms enhancements.

The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.

If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.

If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.

Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.

Closes 9 am on April 1st, 2001.

I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.

commas do the same thing.

There might be other punctuation which does it, too.

Also, apostrophies. Usign them guarantees your search won't reutrn anything

eg:
conker's bad fur day

Also on the searcher, whilst you'd have to be pretty stupid to type it in rather than click the link, maybe 'ukram' should return something? Same goes for all your other 'ukwhatever' sections.

Tony couldn't you set up an advanced search function, it would probably solve all the problems!

I'll try to come up with some common mis-spellings that you might want to consider pointing to what they're probably looking for.

One that springs to mind is Resedent Evil / Resident Evil.

Though you can't possibly cover every bad spelling, can you?

Yes Tony, BUT people sometimes associate or even mix up 3DFX with graphics cards. they might try '3DFX' in hope of finding a Voodoo 5 or Prophet Pro.

3DFX doesn't return anything, I don't suppose it should but people might think Graphics Cards > 3DFX....maybe
