This one closes on April 1st, but it's not an April fool.

Over the coming weeks we are upgrading our search engine. It's having a triple destructurisation operation and invisible lurking terms enhancements.

The prize will go to the person who finds the MOST VALID PROBLEMS across our WHOLE PRODUCT RANGE in the SEARCH FACILITY.

If you think you should be able to search on "Horror Movies", but nothing comes up, then add it to your list.

If you think people will mis-spell gran turismo, then add that too - but test it first.

Use short lists if possible but multiple posts will count together. i.e. all your posts on this subject will add up and count towards the prize.

Closes 9 am on April 1st, 2001.

I recommend you read the details of our searching process which you can click to from a link at Site Map. Basically we use the start of a word, so a search on "thunder" will find "thunderball". If several words are combined it must find all.

how about having quicktime (.mov's) as the downloadable movies! QUICKTIME is so much more friendly and I hate the current download file types!

Easier ways to find items like say if you type in N64 racers you get the list of racing games

We don't want to complicate the discussions if we can avoid it.

The more I think about it the more I think we are correct to do this.

It will stay under consideration though, depending on how many people use the forums.

How about searching for news items like

News on Gamecube games
or
News on the X-box
or
News on E3 ect...

I know that would be hard but you could use catagories to choose from like those above.

How about an age system where you can look for certain games for a certain age group. This would be useful when parents want to buy a game for their children but they may end up buying Conker's bad fur day.

We could search for games for age groups 0-3, 4-8, 9-16, 16+

Parents would like that system.

Mmmm.... now Grix... are we going to have to have that talk about the difference between reality and computer games again?

Sorry. Old joke. In Street Fighter 2, when one performed the Dragon Punch, using the character known as Ken, he would shout out:

Arrrrrruuuuukkeeeennnnn?

Proving that Ken had taken perhaps one too many dragon punches to the head.
