Alastair, by your logic, if I found a soggy, ripped, newspaper on the floor, that would automatically mean that ALL newspapers were soggy and ripped.
Just because the version you have seen was rubbish does not mean that ALL versions are rubbish.

Meh, change your supplier.
I buy DVD's because I like perfection and I didn't spend £2000 + on a setup for my bedroom just to settle for something average. I want to buy the best there is available and although some pirates are passable the Matrix Revolutions isn't.
Also who said anything about dodgy video cam Kazza downloads? As I have said, he gets them from all over the country in big batches and some have reasonable quality. Maybe on a 14 - 21" TV they look good but try it on 32" + and it looks sh*et.
Whilst ÂLІÂÎR may give a flying toss about menu's, extras (surprisingly the world lasted 15 odd years of video release before DVD's without extras without it leading to social chaos) and DTS I'm happy with surround sound 5.1 thanks, when it gets to the point that you're whining about the lack of a sound feature most people will never use and things not looking perfect on high end setups it suggests you're more bothered about giving people an ear bashing about the technology than the actual film itself. Strangely a high end setup does not an immediate conoseiur make, it just means you bought the stuff.
And just because ÂLІÂÎR insists the Matirx Revolutions he's seen isn't good doesn't mean there isn't one out there. There is.
Many many sources are given DVD version with full sound options way before the premieres - film critics get private screenings, airlines and hotels receive discs in some cases, discs are sent overseas to foreign media, cinema's get DVD copies for monitor play...it's a long list, and all it takes is for one person in a long chain to make one copy.
That Finding Nemo Bane's on about ? I know someone who did that too and he bought it at a carboot - it's 5.1, widescreen 2:35:1 ratio, perfect in every way. Bar the menu of course, for the 1 person cares.
*Sniggers*
Those would be VCD and its not worth anyones time or effort to bang it onto DVD. He gets hold of the best quality stuff all over the place and if it looks bad on his setup he sends it back.
Yes I have watched 8 mile in DVD format amongst hundreds of other films before they are out on DVD however it is still a ballax quality pirate. No menus, no Dolby Digital, video transfer is fixed to a set size amongst other dodgy errors.
NO pirates are NOT in full Dolby Digital (unles they are ripped from the DVD itself and in most cases this is removed), NO its not the proper menu and YES its plauged with the lack of extras and other stuff.
Its NOT the proper DVD and in the case of the Matrix Revolutions on a top end setup it looked pap. Try switching your 14" bubble TV with mono sound to something decent and then come back and tell me that it isn't poor quality.
The best pirate stuff is NOT available on P2P programs, which was my point. You say your friend has a load of poor quality crap? My point here is that your maggot ridden wannabe friend is nothing compared to the billion dollar hack and pirate rings which are currently blasting away at the entertainment industry's profits. It isn't the crappy poor quality copies that cost the industry money it's the perfect quality rips that come from INSIDE the industry and give half the world an almost free copy of a given movie before it's even been released.
Christ, I watched a perfect copy of Finding Nemo six months ago. DVD quality picture and sound. Not some maggot "sitting in the cinema with a video camera" crap, but the real deal. Just because your pathetic excuse for a pirate friend can't get hold of quality material, doesn't mean it's not there to be had.
You complete and utter moron.
Please don't mistake me for your imaginery friend, I do not like being accused of something that people no very little about.
