I hate my PC! It is like 4-5 years old now (talk about a relic) and I am seriously going to resort to violence against it if it doesn't start pulling it's weight. It runs XP and stuff but over the 4-5 years it's not had one single upgrade and it was hardly top of the line £2000+ when we got it anyway. My computer has got really bad now though. The most notable problem is it's inability to run simple movie trailers. I love to watch trailers and stuff on the net but the sound is allways A)out of sync and B) distorted. It's terrible.
Because of these reasons and more i have come to the obvious conclusion that I NEED a new PC. Unfortunately my parents would be paying for it and they only use the comp once in a blue moon for e-mails so they don't even notice or care about how crap the comp is. Do any of you have any ideas on how I can convince them to unwillingly buy me a new computer? and can any of you recommend a good computer system for around £1,500. Thanks everyone.

Plead with them and while you're at it, get yourself a job.
They'll see how hard you're trying to get one, and will probably evntually give in and help you out a bit (or pay the lot if you're lucky).
Failing that, at least you'll have cash from your job.
Oh, and good spec PCs can be bought for £1000 nowadays. :)
