Saw on the news today that Dubya has admitted that there is absolutely no evidence that Iraq was linked in any way, shape, or form to 9/11. I don't have a link (cos I'm lazy) so if someone could provide one I'll be grateful.

Oh, Bell; if you're not TOO busy sulking, I was wondering how that squared with your utterly ludicrous claim that the Iraqi military went on high alert the day before 9/11. Cos, y'know, you'd think the US President would consider that to be evidence. Feel free to answer as Bell, Practical Magic, Halo Fan...whomever you like.

Mm, I wish Bell would realise that he and people like him is actually the single biggest reason why the pro-war camp are regarded with distaste by more independant minded commentators (of which I am most emphatically not one); his self important bleating just came across as cowardly bullying. Skarra has the courage of his convictions, and presents a far better example on how to put forward ones point of view without degenerating into "Well...if you disagree with me then you're an evil smoker!! Waaaaaah!!"

Changing the subject again, tonight is my last rehearsal; tomorrow I will be showing my tool to approximately 200-400 people. So no pressure.

As you say, he supports his views, is consistent and I can't hear the rousing theme-tune to "Patton" playing whenever I read Skarra's posts.

Heh. Actually, I dunno if I'd go quite that far. He seems to be an awful lot less of a screeching lump of scumbutter than Bell; I mean, Skarra clearly believes in what the US are doing, but I've yet to see him say that an argument that can be applied to both the US and A.N. Other terrorist supporting nation "doesn't matter".

And his opinions are consistent. Again, more than our dear departed (and probably still reading; hiya Bell!) dullwitted darling ever managed in his time here.

As it happens, I do. Wanna take a guess where Iraq bought the materials for the gas from? Oh yeah...

Even accepting the 'evil' of Saddam's rule, at best our presence is the lesser of two evils.

And while it'd be easy to condemn Saddam offhand (and *to an extent* I'm sure we can), it's definitely worth keeping in mind that our impression of his rule is made more negative through both blatant propagander and our particular moral standpoint, which is no more inherantly valid than any other cultures morals etc.

Sure, he's a nob, but probably not to the extent we'd believe.
