Hilary Clinton possibly going to enter the race for the 2004 elections ? I have a feeling she will, and I have a feeling she 'could' win if she does. If Sky's report is accurate , then a 37-48% rating with Democrats is good, 'cause once the candidates are narrowed down then that can only increase.

It'd certainly be interesting to see what a woman in charge of the USA would be like, and her only real (hopefully) skeleton in the closet has already been aired when her husband fell from office.

Despite Clinton's faults, he wasn't a bad man and, as Goat Boy made reference to in another post, it was certainly a better time for the USA and the world when he was in power. The Monica Lewinsky thing was stupid, because when you see the amount of money used by Republicans to unearth it then you see that very few people on the planet could stand up to that much scrutiny and come out clean.

If she runs for it, then I'd *possibly* be hoping she wins.

*L* This goes toward a lot of what I'm driving at Bell is that you respond to anything, ANYTHING, that disagrees with what you are saying, or challenges your beliefs, in one of a few ways;

1 - Casual dismissal
2 - Trying to change the subject (as a side note, I don't accept your point that I keep changing the topic in a thread. If you can point out where I have done, then obviously I'll make efforts to ensure I don't in the future)
3 - Ignoring it
4 - Attempting to say "Well, you're doing the same"

The thing is, you obviously seem to care a lot about your opinions, and you obviously care equally as much about putting your opinions forward and convincing others of the truth of them.
How are you going to do that if you keep resorting to those 4 responses I detailed above? Why on earth should anyone listen to the opinion of someone who responds to questioning, not with thought out responses, but with petulance?

This thread for example; I made an honest observation about you. Your response? It was number 4 on the list above. I've seen you twist and turn and go to any length to avoid admitting that you may have been in any way incorrect. And that doesn't give what you say added weight. It just makes it sound like you haven't got any background knowledge on what you're talking about.

By all means, reply and tell me all of my faults as well (or at least your view on them). But at least read what I've said. It's probably very patronising to you, but it's an attempt at being completely honest with you.

Um....is this the bloke that clumsily tried to align anti-war protestors with Commies, by suggesting their funding (obviously with total consent and knowledge by every single member) was immoral and against The West because it was "commie"?

Where do you think a large proportion of our funding from arms sales comes from?

But hte point is Light, whilst you continue to be like that, acting arrogant whilst whining at others, I don't really bother with your opinions. Everyone else here seems capable, more than capable, of discussing without being arrogant or moaning at how people post. They just gt on with the topic in hand. You don't, most of the time.

I like Charles Bukowski, Simon Clark, Robert Rankin, Bob Zmuda, Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein & Stephen Ambrose.
Does that count?

I thought "Without Remorse" was fairly good. I wasn't too keen on Rainbow Six, though.

But Clancy's not my preferred author.

No, I'm not on my high horse. Just making an observation. But hey, by all means get defensive and ignore it...no matter how arrogant I am Bell (and I am, I freely admit; I do my best not to be though...) do you think that'll change what I've said about you?

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
