> So your telling me that chickens are direct decendants of fish.
Not direct, no. I think some Fish developed into reptiles which in turn became land-faring creatures, and then quickly branched off into several groups, some eventually becoming dinosaurs, when an evolutionary breakthrough saw them walking with their legs tucked under their bodies for more stability and greater potential mass.
Some of the smaller dinosaurs evolved tree-dwelling habits and, eventually, flight and feathers. At this point they became birds, including chickens.
Meanwhile of course, we have the introduction of mammals, some of which decided they prefered the water, and evolved back to swim with the fishes, as it were.
So in a way, we're all descended from fish, which descended from small, plankton like life-forms, which evolved from random multi-celled organisms floating in the hot oceans of ancient earth, which originated from a random chance enzyme thingy.
Essentially, we're all descendents of mud.
Come on, it's not exactly a hard concept to understand.
You have an egg, now in the jurassic, triassic or whatever era, the egg probably wouldnt have required anything to sit on it. However back in those days even if something DID have to sit on the egg it would NOT be a chicken.
Chickens evolved a long time after the jurassic era.
E.g. Horse gets randy with a Donkey on the sand at swansea - end result something that looks a bit like both but isn't.
Dear God,
Why do none of these people have the faintest idea of what I (and Firebrand) meant?
> It's close I agree but my vote still goes with Black Demon's comment.
Thank you but i'm pretty sure i'm right and only a very convincing arguement will change my mind.
