A chance to list the players who you think are highly under rated, in team format, The reject xi, English based please, don't list players like scott parker or James Beattie who are debatably to good for their clubs, List the unacknowledged stars of the english game, Or don't get any acknowledgement because of a nother big player playing a similar position at the club. Danny murphy is a good example, gets ignored a lot by the media because of Stevie Gerrard. The people who deserve headlines but instead get bumped of the page by david Beckhams new haircut. Huckerby could have been a legend and was so much better than heskey when they were the two big up and coming names, Huckerby just chose his clubs poorly and it screwed him over. I am also of the belief Michael Duberry had it in him to be an england international but being at chelsea ruined his career, completely chelsea's fault and by then it was too late for him to reach his potential.

Nicky Butt and David Dunn, both grossly underated by many.

Robbie Fowler? over-rated if anything.

Darren Huckerby was a great player when he played in the premieship and from the looks of him he still is. He deserves a starting place.

Yet...when Arsenal played United in a vital game to the end of Last Season at Highbury, Ruud completly skinned Campbell and scored a Beauty - and Henry had to be 3 miles offside and required a fluky deflection from Coles shot in order to score?

He's not a magnificent player. But he's a clinical finisher, and very effective. I think that's where the overrating stems from.

I also disagree with your descision to include the Robbie Fowler of today, Ashley.

Ever since he left Liverpool, he's gotten worse-and-worse with every new club he's signed for. Sure, he had 'some' good times at Elland Road, but now, with Man City, he just looks over-weight, slow, unfit and generally, a heck of a lot worse than he was only 5-years-ago.

And he's not even reached 30 yet, has he?!?


Nicloas Anelka would be a better replacement for him - especially after that incredible goal against Blacburn, last night.

But he too has seen his career slide since he left the "L'Highury".
He can't even get into the French squad, anymore!


Players of the past - like Youri Djorkaeff and Christophe Dugarry - do deserve to be in the named-eleven, though. Sure, they may be a lot older now, and their World Cup-winning days are long-behind them; but they're still doing a good job at keeping their Premierships sides in the Premiership, and even causing a few "surprises", too.


Antti Niemi's a good choice of goalkeeper though.
And maybe Frank Lampard should be included with the way he's so vastly improved during his time at Stamford Bridge?

i underate henry. i only call him the greatest striker to grace gods red and white earth.
