I'd love to see a sequel to The Thing, if done right it would be amazing. something along the lines of how Romero's Trilogy developed.

It's never going to happen but I would also like to see sequels to Time Bandits and The Adventures of Baron Munchhausen.

I hate Star Wars. So "Two films set in space involving wars" sounds better.

Think about it, which sounds better- "The Star Wars Trilogy" or "Two films set in space involving wars"?

I hate it when the original film is an 18 then the sequel is a tame 15. Just look what happened to Robocop, 18, 18, baby film. Tosh. Even T2 which was cool, would have been better with swearing, nudey prod stuff and head ripping violence.

I digress, a sequel to the Thing would/could be good. The whole Antartic setting is ideal for "preserving" the plot and maybe a frozen McCready could be taken to a major conurbation and the Thing is found to be dormant within. That'd raise some questions...

Pray tell me, in what way or form does having a trilogy make a film look "more respectable"?

A trilogy would look more respectable than just 2 films.
