Apparently, the update on what could be the greatest game of all time, features little, to no update at all. The issues regarding the swimming and slow pace at the start are still there. There are no new sections and in fact some have been removed because they weren't that good in the first place. What happened to improving them Rare?
And apparently the multiplayer too is heavily lacking and that the N64's multiplayer modes were superior.
So what is exactly the point in me getting this game?
Gee RARE, thanks a bunch.

Nintendo have suffered from similarist problems to Rare (struggling to live up to their past legacy, trying to be too clever for the sake of being clever etc) but with the ports there were subtle improvements.
At the very least they made it atleast as good.
This Xbox version made the reviewer miss the N64 version in a lot of ways. They even went as far to cut things out.
Nintendo have had a small fall from glory since their N64 days but so far Rare seem to have lost it completely...
But fair enough, they've been through a tricky time...
Let's just hope they've found their feet by the 360 release.
r there any plans for banjo kazzoie DS? or did i make that up? i think its a good idea if it is. cause rare still published banjo pilot for GBA (oh dear) so i don't know if they can still develop for DS (all that legality rights confuses me)

Oh yeah because we said that.
What a let down from RARE on the X-box!
I'm actually really dissapointed. I planed on getting a 360 for PD0 and Conker. And now I feel that might be a waste of time.
Apparently, the original version is generally better.
Sounds like they were trying to be too clever and tripped up on the basics.
Ah well, the MS Sell Out must've caused a bit of turmoil down in Twycross, or perhaps the remainders are a bit too caught up on trying to surpass the legacy of their predecessors (I get the feeling the Nintendo were doing that on the Gamecube as well...).
I guess the final test will be on the 360 launch.
If Perfect Dark and Kameo are classics then Rare retain their legendary status. Otherwise it seems like they're back to how they were when Nintendo first bought them, and will have to prove themselves to the gaming world all over again. Perhaps MS did buy a dead horse...
