I do not take to people imitating me, and should you have been able to access my details, then I *will* find you and your details, either from members here or other means - and I will pay you a visit.
I'm not strutting or joking, I am 100% serious about this.
I will locate you and I will make you cry, don't think I can't or won't.
Because I'm stupid like that, and wherever you are in the country is easily reachable.
Whichever stupid little boy hacked SR and used my name, apologise or once I find out who you are and where you live, you will witness anger the likes of which you have never experienced.
I do NOT want stupid spam following this post, I do NOT want idiot schoolkids mouthing off.
You're in my world now and you mean precisely zero to me.

And your opinion on this means something because....?

Yeah true, I think the mass bannings ought to have made that point pretty clear, should it happen again, I think it should be treated more severely. I still have my confidence in SR's ability to provide adequate security to its members, otherwise, as you said before, I wouldn't be buying any further goods from them.
I have a vague knowledge of the methods of hacking from my work at Uni, and am pretty sure it would be beyond the grasp of most younger members. Of course I could be wrong....

i'd panic as much as the next person, even if the next person was you, if my details were 'hacked' it's just, in hindsight knowing it was some punk kids, your reaction was golden.
And to whoever else said "YOU POST YOUR DETAILS THEN!!22!!" - so dumb it doesn't deserve a-quoting.
Calling all the younger

Maybe not. My point is that people that post on an internet forum need to be aware that it has consequences.
Whilst some posters may get pocket money from mum and get her to sort out problems etc, there are others that deal with situations differently.
It wasn't an idle threat designed to posture or appear big.
It was saying that it may appear funny to a kid at home using his parent's computer to fool around before going out to play or worrying about whether they'd get served in an off-license - but it wont appear funny to an adult that pays his way, works for his money and values his privacy.
Calling someone a name is one thing, leading someone to believe that they have hacked their account and "seen all your details! hahahaha" has consequences outside of whatever protected world that person exists in.
Some people here will learn that if they behave face-to-face the way they post here, then some day they'll be in for a shock when the object of their attention doesn't run to mummy and instead reacts in a completely different way.
Pretending to hack accounts could have finanicial repercussions on SR as well, anyone browsing the forums before placing an order may think "Balls to that, I'm not risking it", and SR lose business.
Some people would shrug, other people get angry and have the desire to punch that person.
Regardless of how old, how big.
But it's been sorted, SR have assured that the server was not hacked and a stupid joke by one or two users has resulted in bannings.
The moral of the story is it might be funny in your bedroom before you go to sleep, but your actions do have consequences.

Yeah agreed, nothing against you goatboy ...

Hmm...methinks that one fell flat on its face.
I understand that he is arguing about details, but I'm saying that it's been taken too far again.
Why are you getting in such a tizzy about it? Just let it go.
> That's why I'm annoyed.
I can understand you being annoyed, having lost thousands of pounds in the past. I'd be mega-pis*ed off aswell. Calling all the younger members retards and threatening to go round to their house is hardly going to make the culprits show themselves though is it?
Anyway, it could have been one of the older members for all you know.
Luckily it was all a load of.

I'm not sure about that. If someone used the details to commit fraudulent acts then the perpetrator would deserve a kicking.
Merely crowing about seeing your details doesn't merit and violent action whatsoever.
