Got a virus called "Parite" or something. I keep doing a virus check with this new checker I just got and it recognises to viruses, yet says "You have no viruses". I can't open hardly any programs.

I get the error "Win32/Parite is found in file . Please run AVG for Windows."

I do yet it doesn't work. Hellllllp.

PC-cillin but it doesn't work with XP, only ME and AVG6. I found the virus and cleaned most of it with AVG, but it's still on the PC somewhere. And I have to reinstall all my programs, some of which I no longer have discs for.

Why do these idiots make viruses?

That happened to my bros pc, it infected all his files, at first he thought he had just got a dodgey version of a program. I ran the virus checker on his computer and it came up with loads of parites and it disabled them all, but stopped a lot of his computer's programs working, but we wiped it and it works fine.

Bah. No luck. I get into Safe Mode and then the boody virus checker stops working.

Humm...what a disaster. A small, harmless virus (that basically stops me from running *.exe files) can cause such 'annoyance'. Thank God it's not a major one.

Bell.

The following instructions pertain to all current and recent Symantec antivirus products, including the Symantec AntiVirus and Norton AntiVirus product lines.

Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
Update the virus definitions.
Restart the computer in Safe mode (Windows 95/98/Me/2000/XP) of VGA mode (Windows NT).
Run a full system scan and repair all the files detected as W32.Pinfi.
Reverse the value that the virus added to the registry.

Help. :cD
