Everyone says that the launch games for PS2 were poor, right?

Well, that's half true.

Kessen is a very poor game, as well as RR5, and a few others.

Yet, such games as Tekken Tag Tournament, Smuggler's Run, that Athletics game (dunno what it's called {:)), SSX and F1 World Championship 2000, are all lauch games or early release games, and they're all perfectly good games.

In my opinion and most people's opinions, TTT and SSX are brilliant games. Although some say 1080 is better that SSX, I disagree, as I've played both. Some say Soul Caliber is better than TTT, but they're both great. I've played both, and TTT wins it for me, probably becuase I loved the previous Tekkens.

Anyway, the Athletics games is a good game, apart from the button bashing gets repetitive, but all athletics games are like that!

Also, Smuggler's Run is one of the most fun games I've ever played. It's really a mixture of Driver and Crazy Taxi, both which are extremely good games.
Some may disagree, but everyone I know loves Smuggler's Run, and I'm no exception.

F1 World Championship 2000 is the best Formula 1 game I've ever played, and that's saying a lot, as I have quite a few F1 games.
This is mostly because of the graphics and updated drivers/teams, but this game really doesn't have any faults.

Anyway, people say that 5 still isn't enough. But look, who has the money to buy a PS2, and more than 5 games?!?

I have 3 games, and I think they're all great, so I don't care whether Kessen or RR5 are rubbish, because I have these games to play on.

All I'm saying is that the PS2's launch games weren't the worst ever, and a few of them are actually excellent games!

This is just my opinion, as well as many other PS2 owners', and this is not a dig at any other console or console owner, I'm just putting my opinion out.

Thanks for reading, Ant.

I cant defame Timespilters as I am partly responsible for how it has been released. I was finished and tested through on 4 times during the making and I have to say I really HATE the game because I have 'play'ed it for way too long and I wasn't allowed to actually 'play' it just test it and walking into walls is not my idea of fun!!!

But it is a good game but lets see if anyone can enjoy it when they have been playing it for glitches and nothing else!!!

hummppphhh.

SSX is by far the best Snowboarding game I've ever played. Before I played it I'd never enjoyed any other snowboarding game (1080 included) and now I can't stop playing it!

As for TTT, I do prefer it to Soul Calibur. It's not perfect and it's not Tekken 4, but it's still a fantastic game!!

Finally, Ant, you forgot the wonderful TimeSplitters!!

It's a matter of taste. Some peoples will differ from your own.

Fact of life. Learn it, and live with it.

Some prefer salad cream to mayonaise, personally, I can't stand salad cream.

Oh look, just because the snow is rougher, 1080 is better than SSX!!

Notice more sarcasm.

I have kept it in perpective and that is why I dont hate any games company, I Favour Nintendo but the way I see it the games are there to be played and be enjoyed, it doesn't matter what people say, enjoy what you want to enjoy and hopefully all the companies can produce excellent games.

Teeken Tag is an improved version of the arcade game, not a rushed PS2 game. The game existed in its arcade form - minus the extras, as far as I know - well before the PS2 version existed. As such Tekken Tag is all it was supposed to be. Tekken 4 - if it ever happens - should be expected to be better and/or different. Personally, while I own and like TTT, I prefer DoA2.

SSX - well, it's an arcade came, not a simulation (hence the lack of dying when you plough into a cliff wall at many miles per hour. I'm not too worried about rough snow.

Keep it in perspective, people!
