Well, that's half true.
Kessen is a very poor game, as well as RR5, and a few others.
Yet, such games as Tekken Tag Tournament, Smuggler's Run, that Athletics game (dunno what it's called {:)), SSX and F1 World Championship 2000, are all lauch games or early release games, and they're all perfectly good games.
In my opinion and most people's opinions, TTT and SSX are brilliant games. Although some say 1080 is better that SSX, I disagree, as I've played both. Some say Soul Caliber is better than TTT, but they're both great. I've played both, and TTT wins it for me, probably becuase I loved the previous Tekkens.
Anyway, the Athletics games is a good game, apart from the button bashing gets repetitive, but all athletics games are like that!
Also, Smuggler's Run is one of the most fun games I've ever played. It's really a mixture of Driver and Crazy Taxi, both which are extremely good games.
Some may disagree, but everyone I know loves Smuggler's Run, and I'm no exception.
F1 World Championship 2000 is the best Formula 1 game I've ever played, and that's saying a lot, as I have quite a few F1 games.
This is mostly because of the graphics and updated drivers/teams, but this game really doesn't have any faults.
Anyway, people say that 5 still isn't enough. But look, who has the money to buy a PS2, and more than 5 games?!?
I have 3 games, and I think they're all great, so I don't care whether Kessen or RR5 are rubbish, because I have these games to play on.
All I'm saying is that the PS2's launch games weren't the worst ever, and a few of them are actually excellent games!
This is just my opinion, as well as many other PS2 owners', and this is not a dig at any other console or console owner, I'm just putting my opinion out.
Thanks for reading, Ant.

Don't be such a jerk!
People are entitled to like, and dislike whatever they like, it does NOT make them an idiot!
And regarding playing games 'properly'? I think that's one of the most pretentious things I've read on this forum for a while!
Play games however you get enjoyment out of them, whether that be tactically, or button bashing, with stealth or all guns blazing. Do what you like!

Except for the guy who designed the game. The fact is, TTag is not the way it was meant to be!

And who cares whether the Japanese version is faster?? I like the European version just the way it is, and I don't remember anyone ever saying that Tekken was supposed to be 'fast fighting'.
Anyway, I don't really care, as I think it's great.
The problem was that the original PS1 didnt have the power to cope with the NTSC to PAL conversion. Tekken Tag Tournament on PS2 doesnt need to worry as the PS2 is powerful enough to cope with the conversion slowdown!
I think Tekken Tag is Great I regularly pop down to HMV to have a go on it!
The game is meant to be a fast actioned fighter- almost as fast a Soul Calibur. Anyone who has played the Japanese version will know that. The UK version is soooo slow in comparison- that's why i hate it. It's not how the game is meant to be!
As for Tekken tag, it is based on the arcade game- in the same way as soul calibur is based on one... So u see, Namco would have added millions of options like Soul Calibur if they had the time... but they didn't and it was rushed. Even more appaulingly, the Demo of TTag was 70 people on screen all cheering on a fight. The backgrounds were proper ones that were connected to the ground, and all was good. Then the game was rushed so much that it turned into Tekken 3 with nice graphics. Even worse was that they just didn't bother with a story, and stuck in all the characters and hence have no theme!
Poor. Especially if people think the PAL version is a good fighter, because the Japanese creator of the game admits that it's poor!

As for TTT, I do

Finally, Ant, you forgot the

I did forget the wonderful TimeSplitters!
Also, I just wanted to ask, how many of the games I've listed here, are sequels??
TTT is, and the F1 game is just another F1 game, but the others....
Just thought I'd point that out.
