We seem to be starting quite a few at the moment, so lets keep it all in one place.

This is your centre for enquiring about/recommending/talking about any albums, songs or rappers.

Enjoy.

Anyone got any Mos Def stuff to recommend? Just got a good remix of a DJ Shadow track, 6 Days.

Also, how about Pharaoah Monche? Any good tracks I should 'buy'?

Tupac - lets be friends

DMX - tracks from his first three albums before he went all soft and commercial

Cannibus versus LL cool J spat - around 3 years ago was a battle of intellectuals there were MAD rhymes dropped as opposed to "ill shoot your face off kinda stuff"

Old skool dons like Scarface pumped out some decent "Ill kill you tracks"

Watch out for some girlie on girlie action in the near future Eminem vs Ja Rule

I'm looking to make another mainly gangsta rap(with a few other things) compilation.

I'm talking about stuff like

Tupac - thug love
Tupac - hit em up
112 - Dance with me/peaches and cream (bad boy remix)
50 cent - patiently waiting
Keith murrey - yeah yeah u know it

Much appreciated if ya can list your fave gangsta rap tracks. Old or new.

You should listen to some freestyles that Biggie did on the lyricist lounge Cds they're simply stunning!!!

You also get to hear the live reactions of other rappers that were at the studio at the time ... reactions range from stunned silence to complete uproar

In one of them the rest of the guys blatantly refused to freestyle!!

Biggie's the nuts, also like Tupac a lot. But Biggie's stuff that doesn't feature Lil Kim and Puff daddy is the absoloute mutts.

Biggie feat Eminem - Dead Wrong

Tis a very good tune. Mr Big drops some lyrical 'bombs'.
