USA is much better then the UK.
We have a better soccer side as shown in the world cup.
We speak in a proper accent
We are more superior in terms of power over other countries
We make better cars
We exercise our military right

USA thinks england is full of rich snobs who don't live in the real world. Any Ameriacns feel the same post your thoughts, and any Englishman can run.

Slavery was a key issue in the formation of sides during both the Civil War and the Revolution - the divide being supporters and opposers.

As long as you were a white skinned European rich person or merchant all was well... time to go back to the history books Skarra.

And slavery wasn't an issue in the Civil War, quite some time after the revolution?!?!?!

What, they didn't fight before the British got there? It's human nature to destroy, not the Union Flag. I'm not saying we didn't play a part in the problems of today, but you can't say if we didn't do what we did, there wouldn't be problems.

But it's also nice to see people with an awareness of the better days and accomplishments of the Empire. I'm not saying it was all good, but i know it wasn't all bad.

Hmmm, one of the reasons for the American Revolution - abolition of slavery. Kinda destroys your point.

At what cost though ? The point is we'll never know, certainly Africa and the Middle East wouldn't be the mess they are now.

Like what ? Only minimal reparations have been paid to relatives of slaves from that time, we've returned a few stolen pieces of art, usually in leverage for something we've wanted, and so forth. Still, it's nice to see someone with an awareness of our own country's not so glorious past.

Press Esc to bring up the in game menu - click on save - I have a suspicion that the trial version will not let you save your progress though, if the option is not on the menu when you press Esc then MS has removed it. Well worth getting the full game when you can.

Really, the yanks were, but they called them Reservations. Plus, our reason for using them was a lot better, still not good, but better that the Yanks.

Yes, but the Americans didn't get rid of it all that quickly.

Yes, but think of the good things too, would Canada, or Australia, or even the US be the state they are now if it wasn't for the UK.

I don't think that was the intention, just lack of understanding.

Yes, but at the time, with that time's way of thinking, it was ok, and we did do somethin' to make up for that later on.

Look at the Scottish Parliament. Donald Dewar was very capable. Then he passed away. Henry McLeish took over and he was OK. Now he has gone and we have Jack McConell as the most powerful man in Scotland.

It doesn't even require much effort to get elected and have power either. Look at Rosie Kane. MSP. From Pollok. Wanted to band the word Ned. NUMPTY!!!!
