I know this is going to make me sound like an emotionally retarded spastic who likes to touch chinchilla genitals at night, but I need to ask you lot a question.

Can you reccomend me any good books? I suck at choosing books, cause I never read them much. I want to get a GOOD book for holiday reading (Going to Ibiza next month :D)

I want a book that's funny, and good enough to grip you for a long time. I remember Meka Dragon saying a month or so ago about one book he liked - but I can't remember its name.

Thanks for the help.

Cheers Meka.

I'm gonna trot off to Nottingham tomorow to go and search for it - and Porno. Waterstones requires a visit I reckon.

In fact, if you haven't got it yet, I think you can get it cheap from www.canongate.net

Mind you, I don't know how long it would take to deliver, so it may not arrive before you leave...

I've read few of his books, had that one recommended to me as the best but not got around to it. I think I've read ones called 'Two Princes' and 'Rage/rise/reign of a demon king'.

Anyone read any David Gemmell?

I've read Legend, it's sequel and Winter Warriors. All good stuff.

Oh my god.

Indeedsleep - I like totally forgot the libary existed (seriously!). I'll take a visit soon.

Cookie - I've read "The Fellowship of the Ring" and the "Two Towers" - both were excellent. Except in the film they missed out a HUGE chunk of the 2nd book, which was dissapointing!

Best book ever written is Magician by Raymond E Feist.

If you aren't sure of what to read, before you spend money, ever thought of visiting the library? It's an old fashioned place but they have lots of books and they don't charge you to take them out, even in this day and age.

George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" trilogy.

Best stuff I have ever read.

Swords and sorcery stuff.
