There are some bands that make you feel happy.and some bands that make you feel like why the hell am I listing to this tripe.so I'm going to tel you my personal worst.

Yes, it is singing. Listen, there's a tune. In fact, it's more singing than most modern bands. Seeing how most of them tend to end up screaming at the top of their voices!

I've heard Avril Lavigne's album, my brother's got it. She tries to be a pubnk, but she isn't. Her management want her to be one. And she makes my ears bleed. And can you call it singing...?
Coldplay and Radiohead are just depressing...
Slipknot and other shouty stuff is pathetic although while I was flicking through the music channels I saw the video for Wait and Bleed or soemthing. It's mostly general pap but it's got about 2 lines of sung stff that could have the potential to be good, but isn't.
Good Charlotte are OK, I got the album. Not much to jump around about but there's a few catchy tunes in there, namely the 3 that they have released/are going to release as singles...
Other stuff I like:

Ash
Supergrass

and as much as people will moan dispite not listening to the album, Avril Lavigne.
Compared to most of the crap that's out there at the moment. She's got an incredibly good 'pop-rock' album. The fact that she could so easily just sit there and get people to do everything for her but she doesn't.
Try listening to the album (I didn't actually buy it, I stole it off of my sister!) Listen to it not with the 'I hate her because everyone else does' type of view but comparing it to most of the other crap and listen knowing that it's pop rock and not hardcore screaming...
It's good.
Songs that I like at the moment:
AFI - Girls Not Grey
Blur - Crazy Beat
Beyonce - Crazy in Love (Good pop!)

Mostly ditto. I like some stuff that gets counted as nu metal.

I suppose you're right. And a lot of Coldplay's songs sound the same.
