So, some joker in programming at Sky has decided to move Alias to Sky One Mix as of next week.

What a way to lose half the audience!

A cracking show, just getting really interesting, and they move it to a backwater channel.

Great if you have Sky Digital, no use at all if you get Sky through cable.

I was going to buy the DVDs anyway when they're released, but now I have to wait for the Season 2 discs to see the rest of the series.

Obviously done to increase viewers for what is essentially a repeats channel, but a Very Bad Move in my opinion. There's no way in hell I'm switching to Sky Digital from NTL - we have TV, broadband and telephone from NTL, AND I can record terrestrial TV while watching Sky without needing to fork out an extortionate amound for Sky+ or a second installation (same thing as far as I know!)

So balls to you, Sky - and expect an e-mail of complaint very soon.

Dont know. All I heard is that its moving to a Saturday on normal Sky One. Best to keep an eye out for Alias on other nights incase they quickly change it to another day. I think it could even by on at midnight on the Sat/Sun.

Have words with them. Tell them that if they don't put Alias back on Sky One then you don't join them. That will show them what for.

Thanks for that, adrian - I really hope you're right!

I also hope that they make a better job of it than with Fast Lane - they moved that to Satruday night at midnight (allegedly), but it's never yet been on at the same time two weekends running!

Sometimes midnight, sometimes 1am. So I set my video to cover the two hours. Then last Saturday they put it on at 1:40am Sunday morning, and hence I missed it.

So are they switching Sky One and Sky Mix now? Too many people going with cable rather than satellite, so they're switching first-showings to the repeats channel, and filling the 'main' channel with the repeats?

Maybe if they didn't charge a hundred quid for installation, and you could tape one channel while taping another as standard, they'd get more subscribers? Just a thought...

I hate it when schedules are changed. I used to watch Roswell High on BBC2 (come on start the dissing, I am ready for your worst) on Wednesdays. Then they moved it to Sunday mornings. never saw it again. It was mid series. I never found out what happened to them all.

Fastlane is an even more heinous scheduling change. That program rocks, almost as much as Tiffani Thiessen rocks my world. Now she is hot. The guns and fast cars and one liners only serve to make it an even better program. So they went and shifted it. However, they did finish the whole first series on Fridays I think. Can not remeber for certain though.

But still it is just stupid. Schedule changes are another thing I will outlaw when I take over the world.

Loved that show, but watched it on Sky. Thankfully that wasn't messed around with.

Indeed she is. Week before last with the porn shoot was funny - on her knees in front of Van!

I like your policies. Where do I sign up?

I missed that! Is it repeated, going to be on DVD or any other way of me getting the hold of it?

Nope they only showed about 10 if I remember. The rest of Season 1 was shown on Saturdays and the last Fastlane is this Saturday, wonder whats going to be replacing it? Alias maybe. Fastlane is a cool series shame its been cancelled :(.

Been cancelled already? Damn.

Did anyone notice that CSI was an hour later than normal last night? It also appears to have been one of first episodes I think. Sara joined in that one. But then I never saw the first ones so maybe they did a few series without her.

What Fastlane did you mean ? If so yes. Fox cancelled 2 shows which both aired on the Friday night, they were John Doe and Fastlane. Even though both of them had done pretty well in viewing figures for a friday night. Its always the case that they get rid of good shows and carry on crap ones.
