If you can throw bricks from bridges and shoplift then I personally don't give a toss how old you are.
What about if you were driving a bit too fast and got caught by a speed camera? What if that was your third offence? (The first two being minor criminal offences like being drunk and disorderly or dropping litter.)
What if you were then tried and (using your own prognosis) were then convicted for 30 years? How would you feel? Would you still argue that it was just and correct?

So if I went into Notts Special Reserve and nicked stuff, got caught once in a blue moon, got the usual shoplifters community service, did that, went back, shoplifted again...repeated ad infinitum... you'd not think I deserved locking away ?
By that logic a shoplifter is as much a criminal in the sense that they need removing from society if they are persistent. Every town and city in this country has persistent shoplifters, whom if even caught, will not even face any significant punishment, and then be free to continue. They are a nuisance, a danger, push up prices and harm business, as well as many being linked into local drug dealing.
So yeah, I think it is time for zero tolerance and three strikes to be used in this country.
It's time the government got tough on all crime, if they don't then I wouldn't be surprised if extreme parties like the BNP continue to gain ground, and could one day get into power. It's okay arguing about criminal's rights, being misunderstood, disadvantaged etc until you, or someone you know, is actually a victim of crime, and then you see how little deterrant there is to criminals.

Yeah, lovely people, the Scots. Friendly and cheap...I stayed in Paisley (near Glasgow) for a while and had a great time. I'm also a fan of Inverness-On-Sea - the food is excellent and it's very pleasant and picturesque...
My mate used to go to a place called Dollar Academy...some time of boarding school. He took me up there and showed me his local haunts. Quite excellent.

And they wonder why fewer people want to be teachers. I knew a girl who got to the final stage of her teaching degree and gave it up because some crazy kid started a fight, fell on a table and broke his nose. Then got up and tried to attack her! They should have net and tranquiliser gund there!

Ah.
Sorry, I thought I was being stalked for a moment.
It was a fantastic weekend, best place I have ever been on this planet and I have made it my mission within the next year to move up there.
The South holds no appeal for me, I don't like people and love the sea.
Answer?
North Coast of Scotland

...as the great philosopher Shaggy once said.
You mentioned it when you were asking about the region free disc for the Xbox as your mate had one and you wanted to take some region 1 dvd's to Scotland when you visited him.
Still, I thought the "mysterious entity" was far more entertaining.
I have told a couple of mates and a handful of other people because I didnt want anyone phoning me.
