Actually I've been using DW's code editor for a while. My preference is Quanta+ but I have nothing to run that on at the moment.

All the time. It's why I only post here really.
And, no, iirc there is no porn on my website, but it could be arranged it you really want...
As you use Debian, I was wondering if you could tell me what it "has" over rival distros such as Suse and Mandrake?
Debian is faster, more stable and has more backup than the other distros. It's actually relatively easy to maintain and installing software is a doddle. It's a proper pro-distro.

I would only say they're young because they're collections are not that big, presumably down to lack of time/storage space :O)

?! Linux is a pig, and I don't know of any Uni courses where it would be of much help. Granted, learning Linux is very much like a crash course in all-computing-ever, and if you 'know' Linux, by definition you know a great many associated technologies, but for the uninitiated it's a vertical climb. And don't think you'll get it to replace Windows on the desktop either - whilst some people swear by it, the majority use Linux in conjunction with Windows, not as a replacement.
Debian seems good, where can I get a (free) image?
