Well, Southampton and Arsenal at Cardiff. No Vieira, and no Campbell could cause problems for Arsenal.
I really do fancy Southampton.

Just chat about it here as it happens, any controversy, fantastic goals, and dodgy decisions.

I don't think you'd be saying that if it happened to Man Utd Solskjær.

Yeh, Beattie almost scored at the end but I don't think the ball was going in anyway - may have just hit the post. But it was a decent block by Ashley Cole.

Is it just me, or did Ashley Cole - possibly - prevent the ball from going behind him and over the goal-live; either out for a corner, or in the back-of-the-net for a goal??

Watch that very-last Southampton attack when he blocks that header off the line, again... I'm not so sure....

No-one else seems to have picked-up on it, though.

And when you watch it again, Pires' goal does seem quite 'lucky', really!
There was Bergkamp out-wide, trying to play the ball into the middle...
First-attempt is blocked, so he needs a second go to get it in...
Then it gets to Ljungberg (who everyone seems to be calling "Loongberg", now) and he needs a second crack-at-goal to get it in....
And, somehow, the ball deflects into the path of Robert Pires, who is JUST able to roll it into the bottom-corner, which did not appear to be what he had first intended to do.... Goal!

For a team that dominated the game with chace-after-chace, and 'apprently' "still zee best team in zee Premiéreshíp!!", you didn't half get lucky - yet again!

Southampton had their chances - one of which was struck sraight-at David Seaman, from Brett Ormerod - and it could've easily been a draw, if not had gone in Southampton's favour, full-stop. You had the chanes, but one again, couldn't convert!!

If Wenger doesn't get that sorted out in the Summer, you'll just be throwing-it-all-away again, next season! :D

Laugh back at them and just say Man United to them, that should just about shut them up!

I went to Cardiff and I really don't think that we (Saints) did ourselves a diservice. Yep I'll agree that the better team won and congratulations to Arsenal, lucky bounce to Pires as that could have gone anywhere but that's the way it goes and if your not in the right place at the right time you don't score.

The whole day out was fantasic and I was proud to be a Saints supporter there, the atmosphere was brilliant from the time we got to Cardiff at 10.30am until I got back to Bristol and the hotel at 11.00pm. Arsenal supporters on the train were great as well.

Yes we're in Europe and I hope we do well in that but I've got a feeling there's going to be a few player changes to the squad after the final. 1 being Anders Svenson who let rip at Strachen and 2 is Fabrice Fernandez who was apparantly caught on video half an hour after the game walking through Cardiff scoffing a burger....hmm that doesn't bode well for team morale!

Anyway, congratulations to Arsenal and all their supporters on this board :)

Yup, Saints are in Europe.

They've been given a place in the uefa cup regardless as Arsenal are in the Champions League.

I'm sure they feel strongly about you too...

No it didn't.

No, you didn't dominate the game. Compare you're possesion to Arsneal's, and also shots on goal.
