Played Need for Speed on PSP and on DS today. No competition, the PSP version really outdid the DS in every respect.

However, that said, it still didn't 'do anything' for me, I mean it was a basic racer that wouldn't look out of place on a PS1. I guess that realistic racing games just don't fare that well with the DS, a trend Nintendo seem to uphold with every console, though I do like Asphalt.

I'm happy with the other games I have on DS though, so it's not going to be disappearing anytime soon...

At least the DS version is strictly Kart based this time rather than er.. baby prams? :P

Part of the thrill of Mario Kart for me is being huddle around a TV, hittng people i know and love with red shells etc, will it be the same online? Nintendo have always said themselves it wouldent.

it is a shame the DS looks PS1 and the PSP looks PS2, i wonder if the DS is even up to some N64 titles, i mean some textures in mario 64 DS in some areas look very ropey. I dont see the DS creating that solid look that most games on the N64 had.

Mario Kart shall rock but I wonder how many will be playing online since it's wi-fi only...

Pb, NFS on the PSP isn't a very good game to judge the handheld with anyway.

You should've compared Ridge Racer DS to Ridge Racer PSP.

i'd like to see PS1 remakes/ports come out for the DS, something like Vagrant Storey or Grandia (i know it was originally ss), DS seems up to it on the graphics front and it gives a chance for all those Nintendo faithfuls to play great games they missed out on.

Pikmin would be fantastic. Age of Empires is looking nice too...

Wow, Mario Party DS would be amazing! Playing it online with touch screen mini-games.... it would be incredible!

I'm looking forward to Metroid Prime: Hunters, too.
