Undoubtedly not dear Hmmm ... the master has to relinquish the task to the pupil sometimes and you are all beginning to be cognizant of the dilemma :¬)

the 'poster' possibly hasn't seen graduation, but if so, it is a sad reflection of education today that ignores the fundamentals of communication

Afternoon all ...

Welcome to the forums tulsa and thank you for those words of wisdom ... certainly not a day to be missed :¬)

Remember that it is St Swithan's Day today and according to tradition, the weather on his feast day will continue for forty days! So let's hope that it stays dry, wherever you are!

Unfortunately, not for Ireland though

Dont miss out on your graduation. It can be quite an expensive day & can be a lot of bother, but its a once in a lifetime thing & if I had not went to mine,I would have regretted it forever.
Time to celebrate with family that you have achieved the lifetime (so far) of education.....think of all those who failed to get this far.
Well done & congrats.

I have a rogue water leak in my car DL, it's been into the workshop 3 times but still not fixed. Have resorted to some top class bodging this morning (using some plastic piping and a can of Waxoyl!) which I'm hoping is going to do the trick, not overly optimistic though.

Very difficult 'leaks' to find pete. My son's car's tailgate leaked somewhere - took two attempts and a new set of hinges and sealant before all became watertight!

Roof leak sorted temporarily ... re-felting and gutter sills fitted to be carried out within a couple of weeks, all gutter connections to be replaced, main gutters and main roof cleaned and ridge tiles to be re-pointed ... £240.

It's good to have friends in 'high places' at times like these :¬)

Yeah, that's what tempted me to get one. I would say it's the single most noticeable upgrade I have ever done on a PC. I have put my OS and main programs on it and have 2 slave HDD's for other programs, photo's, music etc. They are slightly different to a HDD to initially set up but once up and running they're basically the same. I decided to avoid drives with Sandforce controller's due to known problems with Windows 7 (although some are saying that latest firmware has now resolved these issues?) and went for a Samsung 830, very impressed with it so far.

No swimming or piano for the kids today, so thought I'd get off easy. Then the fact that the sales are on appeared. Still out and only just finishing lunch after trawling around clothes shops and shoe shops. Mostly stuff for the kids.

Apparently loads more rain forecast for next week as well!

Fitted an SSD to my PC last night, system boots up in about 15 seconds and even resource hungry programs like video and photo editing applications open up pretty much instantly, well impressed TBH.
