Got my first laptop a few days ago. Really happy with it. AMD A8, Dual graphics, 6GB SRAM, 750GB. £399. Absolute bargain, been playing Skyrim, F1, FIFA on High graphics. Ready to play Guild Wars 2 on it :-P Best budget gaming laptop out there.

I hated sports day, it was very cliquey in senior school when I actually started being a bit sporty. Despite being one of the better goalkeepers in the school, I was still benched for the house football, and not selected for any of the other sports. Trying to get back to a fair fitness level after 4 years of pool as a main sport, which mainly involves alcohol and food, but it's proving difficult.

In other news, graduation was a good, if long, day. Got pictures of me looking fairly smug in my academic dress, now to sort out my PhD place properly.

Were your kids excited for sports day? In senior school I managed to come 2nd in the 200m a few times but I remember being mocked for dropping the baton in junior school the most >.<[/i]

My eldest was excited that it was cancelled. She's not the fastest runner or best at any sport and it means being in a team with....boys!!!

My youngest was indifferent. We're not, as you can tell, a sporty family!

For me, Sports Day was an excuse to get out of class as it ran all day. I just did an easy morning event and we just sat around afterwards watching events. In the afternoon, everyone watched the events when the parents arrived. I didn't do any afternoon events.

Morning.

Half day today, so working from home this morning and possibly in the school this afternoon (not sure yet). Was originally for Sports Day but this has now been cancelled.

Morning all.

The Mexican restaurant was pretty good yesterday, all the parents and the teacher from my youngest daughter's class were there and we had a good time.

Now it's back to work and catching up after being ill last week. Loads to do as usual.
