Envy everyone here that has the cold AND is likely to be able to afford heating. Freezing here, snow and it hurts to breathe when out and about.
Bring on the summer!
Around here HM we all wish for that ... seems like a good few months now that our heat has been on constantly throughout the day!
The only good, cheap advice I can give is to buy and burn candles ... it's surprising how much a room's temperature improves when candles are burning!
Candles to use ... Wilko 9 hr burning and Wilko 8 hr burning ... (one size is stubbier than the other) ... you get them in bags of 20-30 for a couple of quid.
Put them where you want and leave them to burn ... cheap heat and light!
Bring on the summer!
Afternoon all.
Absolutely freezing here, been watching the racing and it's snowing at Lingfield.
And it's getting colder Smedders ... can't believe how cold I am! Mind you...a total of 4 hours pram walking today may have something to do with it.
Oh yes, 'slick' surfaces forecast for tomorrow morning due to the overnight 'snow flurries' .... (had some this morning!)

Spanish would make sense because of all the people from the Philippines and Spanish speaking countries that seem to have made the UK their home. French is the next most widely used language, I suppose, though judging by the number of legal immigrants in the UK, perhaps it should be Polish?
Good point pb but I suppose that all the Spanish and French that have chosen the UK as their home also have jobs...strange then that the HMRC website doesn't have any language options!
But that said, living in Cardiff The only welsh I really come across is found on the road signs. Probably cannot say the thing about the northern parts of Wales though.
I loved learning to speak the southern dialect of Welsh. Great site to learn is Say Something In Welsh
