Aww nooo! I bet lightning would a great thing to catch and you'd feel quite proud after :D His photos are beautiful. In the first photo it looks like it's struck the top of a building! And I really like the 9th photo where he's also caught the lights on the cars. Amazing stuff.
I remember when I first got the Fuji I sat for hours just pressing the button and hoping lightning would strike.. Silly! After a while I realised it was all down to exposure time! Need to get a tripod first before taking any pictures of lightning though because this camera is super sensitive to shaking.. Wonder when the next storm's gonna be.. :D

Um, I'm not really sure how many photos, tbh. Couple thousand?! According to the first picture I took it was August 05, yet it feels longer than that and it's got 1 512mb memory card. If you're going to be transferring photos to the PC regularly, I doubt you'd really need a larger card.

Oh that would be marvellous. You'd probably end up with a thousand just from 1 day :D

Ooh definitely, you don't need a pro camera at all! I wouldn't mind having a look at them if you have a go too :)
It's something set up to monitor why it keeps messing up.

Oh wow! Lightning would be a great thing to catch. Those are some lovely photos, makes you think you've really got to have patience. The first photo looks like it caught a building!
Never used to understand how it was possible to catch lightning.. I used to sit there for hours randomly pressing the button hoping lightning would strike! How silly.. When all along there was that little setting "exposure time". Tsk tsk! :D It's also great how he captures the lights from the cars in the 9th photo.

Um.. I'm not really sure how many altogether tbh. Quite a few! :D
According to the first photo taken with it, it says August 2005. Feels much longer than that! And the memory card is 512mb. I don't think you'd need a large memory card if you're going to be transferring the photos to the PC regularly.

That'd be great and it'd be impossible not to take 100s! Just snap everything you see! :D

Oh definitely, you don't need to have a pro camera! It would also be great to see how you do with it, if ever you do have a go :)

Ah don't worry people always say they leave and they never do, they'll be back and in greater numbers *smile* (where have I heard that before? heh)
I'm sure everything will work out.

Yes that photo looks amazing, you have the stars and the eclipse, the bright star and what looks like clouds. Would love to take some shots like this. One of my favourite photographers is Dan Heller he's a travel photographer, look at some of his lightning photos http://www.danheller.com/lightning.html, one time there was a storm, and I just couldnt help going outside and taking some photos. Ah the Fuji Finepix, great camera series. It really looks nice have you taken many pictures with it? When did you get it? What size cards are you using?

hehe, yes I'd need to get some good lens too, how great would it be just to travel around to different countries and take pictures of everything you see. I'd imagine I'd take 100s of photos a day instead of just one *smile*

Okay I'll hold you to that *smile* would love to see everything. Well I think I might borrow someone elses camera maybe my mum's and just take a picture of it, *smile* maybe I should start doing a daily photo now regardless of whether it's a professional camera or not. Should be fun :D
