As for folks talking to themselves ... we do it all the time, don't we? I don't! Yes you do! Well perhaps I do! Well there you are then!
Think that has established that 'talking to oneself' is not that unusual ;¬)
Mobile phones and headsets are to blame for visual spottting but me and Mrs DL do it all the time ... it does actually keep you sane!
Currently sat in Pizza Express, finally using a voucher that I've had lying around for a free pizza. Thought I'd better use it before it ran out.
Looking out of the window imagining I was someone who'd time travelled from the 1940s and what I'd make of the world outside. The first thing is how many people were talking to themselves as they walked along. I'd be thinking everyone had gone insane.
Great start to the week. Dodgy stomach this morning. Last week of work before the Christmas break, too.
Oh well. Let's hope tomorrow improves things.
As for washer dryers, I have one myself but only because there is no room for a twin set up of washing machine and tumble dryer. The dryer function on it is rather poor to be honest, but as it's a matter of space in the kitchen, it's all I can have.
The only place we could put it would be the kitchen, but there's no space there unless we get rid of the freezer (we have a fridge freezer and separate freezer). I'm not keen on washer/dryers either.
Colder today and quite damp in the air, too. At this time of year I wish we had a tumble dryer.
Today's tumble dryers are 'cool' pb :¬) Very energy efficient and do a good job drying different materials. Ours is in the garage as it has 'a rear vent' but Millie loves it at the moment ... she calls it 'Dry, Dry Dry' and kisses it when we've loaded it with clothes :¬)
Free mulled wine and mince pies at work this morning.
If I wasn't involved in the planning of that, I'd say it was a ploy to sack people for drinking at work...
Anyone else looking forward to the Open All Hours Christmas special? Think it will probably be quite emotional, but should be entertaining too, with the same writers and David Jason becoming more like Arkwright.
Eldest son had to go to Harrogate today on a course ... Mrs DL just had to go ... 'to keep him company'! I'm sure he appreciated that, but she had a 'whale of a time' :¬)
Don't talk to me about redundancies at Christmas ... mine was announced December 15th 2010 and I was out Jan 21st 2011.
Still makes me annoyed at this time of the year as the site still exists, albeit derelict! I walk around it most days with granddaughter.
