Yes, coping. Not really much time to go online. Only just finished the washing up at 10pm! But I managed a sort of roast dinner today, despite the kids liking different things and not having a great deal of time, and we went to the park which let them get some fresh air and giving the dog a walk.
My wife called in the evening, just as the kids were going to bed, so good timing to say goodnight to them! She was trying to be cheerful for the kids, but it's obviously upsetting. I think it's just a matter of days now.
How's things pb? All ok?
It looks as if the only flight is 6.25am, so we're set to leave at 2am tomorrow morning.
Ok, so my father-in-law is seriously ill, pretty much as bad as it can get, so my wife has to go to Spain tomorrow, probably for a few weeks. We're all a bit broken up about it, to be honest, and I'm desperately trying to think logically about looking after 2 kids and a dog on my own over Christmas.
My thoughts are with you pb ...
1. Don't panic ... these things happen and have to be accounted for as you get older
2. The kids will be fine as long as you are fine and they understand what is happening ... so tell them
3. The kids love the dog, so no problem ... they will care for it ... main priority, it's their job (will keep them focused)
4. You, have a good sleep tonight, and tomorrow ... well, tomorrow is tomorrow
5. If you need extra assistance, I've got granddaughter overnight tonight but I'll be free for assistance as from tomorrow ... if required
Will have a 'gander' at the Sale later today pb ... there must be something ;¬)
Anybody bought anything in the Steam Winter Sale yet? (Quick point over to the games section for my thread on Steam bargains)
Temperature dropped this morning, was 2.5c according to my car. I actually had ice on the inside of my windscreen!
