Nice to hear that all went well pb but ...

"My new test kit Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Router"

... have you bought this or is it 'a freebie' ... nice piece of kit but megabucks.

Modern technology is excellent when done right.

My new test kit Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 Router came today and it was a joy to set up.

Having put the PC on before connecting it to the Fibre modem, it started up Chrome then proceeded to set everything up before my eyes, just asking for a password and username for the modem.

That was literally it. Obviously, I can fileshare with a HDD or USB drive attached to the USB 3.0 port at the front or even Airplay iTunes straight from the router. Yet to test all that, though. All I need to test now is whether the signal to the kitchen (our deadspace for WIFI) is any better now.

Having one spare is bad enough (2 if you count the router from the ISP). I may ask around work if someone wants one.

I've got two spares and both relatively new in the market pb ... do you want them as well ;¬)?[/i]

Wait... is pb starting a home for retired routers?

Evening.

Seemed like a fairly busy day, despite not being at work. Been out with the dog a couple of times, took my youngest for a bike riding lesson, sans stabilisers and cleaned my study out a bit.

Morning.

Not at work, but the guinea pig and dog needed feeding, so up anyway. Thought I'd give my wife a rest for a change.
