I shouldn't be buying things but I got a few packs of refresher bars in HMV for 38p a pack today. Non nom nom!
Not a bad day in school, but exhausted now and just want to be back home. Waiting outside the hall for my daughter to finish drama class though, so still a while before I can sit down at home and relax.
Can sympathise pb ... my kids were the same ... football, gym, swimming, climbing, walking etc etc ... but granddaughter has started it all again! Today we've had loads of fun but I'm very tired now :¬)
I was going to put another word. But last night I tried to post and it was rejected due to a 'word', returned to post and change it and the entire post had gone!
Well, I suppose it would save money on going abroad. But it will probably lead to hosepipe bans, trains stopping because the tracks don't like the heat and all those other things that a slight change in the weather can do to this country.
Just realised that it's 'walk to school' week and I happen to be in school for a full day tomorrow. Looks like I'm doing the 2.5 mile trek with the kids tomorrow on foot, then. Oh joy.
Back to reality, today, though.
Always the case pb ;¬)
Really nice day here, weather wise, today. Saw a newspaper headline that read " Hottest Summer ever on it's way ".
I've already had comments from locals remembering the last 'one' in '76! Melting tarmac, cracking ground etc etc. As Mrs DL says ... that's ok but it does bring its own problems ... heatwave that is!
Bring it on I say ... I really need the sun.
Well yesterday was fun and exhausting. Lovely weather, so we had a picnic, the dog got entered into 2 events but didn't win any (criminally overlooked in my opinion, but I may be a tad biased) and the kids enjoyed themselves. Good day all round, really.
Back to reality, today, though.
Not sure I agree with some of the breeding practices the Kennel Club have. It's almost like the Third Reich for dogs. If you don't fit their exact description of a 'correct' dog then you're not allowed in.
Managed to gain contact earlier, response mentioned 'Groupwise moving to outlook...chaos all week'!
What has that got to do with your arrangements for his birthday, I ask!
No reply ... so far
