It does mean another 20 minute walk down to the garage, though, and the weather isn't looking great.
Another £100 odd to find.
Fridays seems to be one of those odd days of the week. Work from home, do the school runs and it all goes by so fast.
Glad your bill wasn't too high DL.
Porridge has now been consumed, so I'm full. Now to prepare a large spreadsheet for a meeting at 11am. Thrilling.
I look under a car bonnet now and think "So, what's that, then?". Far too many wires and gadgets for my liking, too many chips and electronic circuits.
,,, and far too many 'bits and bobs' to fit 'this and that' to before you've even connected 'your whatsit' and that's even before you've earthed the bonnet and put on your protective latex gloves ... just got too technical basically :¬)
Anyway, car back home ... sorted and asleep in the garage :¬) £361.89 retail ... £229.99 trade ... love it

A socket set, a few screwdrivers and a timing light, and you were pretty much covered for most "repairs".
Agree chas. Did all my own servicing for years, motorbikes and cars but an ever increasing technology and an ever increasing age problem made me finally relent.
At least the 'garage' know me and I get all work at trade prices, which as you might realise, are a lot less than retail prices :¬)[/i]
Well, that's not so bad then.

Give me four cylinders with high lift cams, high compression pistons, oversized valves and twin Weber carbs and I'll be happy to tweak and tune until the thing growls like a lion...

Morning all ...
Just dropped the car off for a 'major service'! I already know the cost, but it's the 'other' bits that they might find that always bothers me.

Mk1 Escort 1300 Sport would be my dream car even now...
