An old soldier died today aged 90 at 7.21 am.
John was a para and a member of 6th Airbourne Division when they landed at Pegasus Bridge 6th June 1944 and then continued through the European and Asian campaigns to finish WW2!
My father-in-law was a lovely man and loved his grandsons and lately wasn't really aware that he was a great-granddad, even though my Millie had visited.
R.I.P John Wilgose ... miss you mate
Despite the foot not healing completely yet, I've been doing gardening. Well, more like putting up new fences.
2 up now and one to go. The hardest part was cutting the bamboo to shape in an awkward section.
Can relax when we have dinner, but that won't be until at least 3pm as its only just being cooked now. My as I like paella, it takes ages to cook.
Britain still great with its amazing weather which boomed through my household at roughly 04:00. Followed by the customary shrieking cat!
Certainly is amazing ... not experienced 'booming' or 'shrieking cat' weather at all today. In fact, it's been quite boring weather ... i.e. dull
So, Britain still 'great'?
Storms from about 5am kept me awake. This part of Britain is not so much great, more sleepy.
