Eldest has gone to school on her own for the first time, the last few times I walked her down a short way to meet her friend. Now it's just the youngest to get sorted out....plus the two dogs.
Glad you also liked the new Maiden record SRS, it seems to have been met with a generally positive response. I bought the double CD from Asda which came with a large bottle of Maiden's Trooper beer and a Trooper pint glass, all for £14. I thought Machine Head's cover of Hallowed Be Thy Name was good too as was their version of Metallica's Battery.
Reckon this will always be my favourite metal cover though! :)
Sounds a good deal!
Heh, I remember that cover always worth a laugh.

Just listening to the new Maiden album, it's a thumbs up from me. Reckon it's the best thing they've done in ages TBH. There are of course the obligatory songs which are about a fortnight long...
Never really got into Iron Maiden, had a mate at school that was absolutely mad about them (this was during the 80s when they were pumping out stuff for the charts). I like their approach, not taking themselves too seriously, and some of their songs are great, I have the best of album for them, but not really a fan of their whole work.
Didn't think any of their last 3 albums were particularly special TBH but I do like the new one, seems to have more of an old school vibe to it to me. Some of the tracks are unnecessarily long though, to me they seem to lose a little bit of their punch due to this. One thing I will say about Maiden is they have always stayed pretty close to their trademark sound without becoming boring or repetitive, there's not many bands you can say that about, especially ones that have been around as long as they have. Tour promised for 2016 will hopefully get to see them for the 8th time!
I'm a fan of the new album, listened to it a few times over on Spotify at this stage. There's also a great cover of Hallowed be thy Name by Machine Head that I'd recommend you give a listen.
Sat at the local garage waiting for my tires to be changed. Main service is due soon too, going to be expensive, that one.

Had a real issue about a week ago where the laptop decided to have a limited connection both Wifi and ethernet. Luckily my dad is a little better with computers and managed to solve it. Certainly owe him after 3 days of headscratching!
Tried my hand at a review - played the Escapists on the XB1 over the last few weeks. Simple but entertaining/challenging gameplay compelled me to write one!
Now off to work...3 day week this week - which has caused my motivation to drop!
