Chips would have been nice, if slightly more frivolous
We've just had frivolous chips and cheeky beans ... festive fare
Far more important things to worry about, like our fracking government who are already preparing to rape the countryside for profit.
Whoa, didn't realise this was the "serious thread"...
On a more serious note, I've got pasta for dinner.

today is my last day of work for a week and a bit. It has been an incredibly quiet year on the work front which makes for long, boring days.
Taking the dog for her 6 month checkup today.

I went to a resident Q&A session held by a gas drilling company who were seeking permission to carry out a test drill (which they have since controversially been granted at appeal) about a mile from our home. I was genuinely shocked as they seemed to know very little about some of risks present at this particular location. It was that or they were intentionally acting dumb as they knew residents weren't going to like the honest answers...
I am looking forward to Star Wars though, if JJ does a similar job as he did with Star Trek reckon it should be alright. He should definitely have used this though.
It's like someone at the "Great Star Wars Marketing Machine" said to themselves, "Hey we used to really upset all the parents at Christmas by not including 20p's worth of batteries in our £90 toys, let's do that again 'cos it'll be really funny!".
I even got batteries with my TV remote! Where's the logic?!
Is there a new Star Wars film? I'd really like to see it but doubt I'll get a trip to the cinema.
WHAAAA????
Is there a-...
Why else would the world have to suffer "light saber cheese strings", Star Wars branded mascara, "yoda-gurt" for da kidz, in fact anything they can slap some branding on....
Not that I'm bothered much...
Aww, hell, why pretend? I HATE STAR WARS!!!!
So...
Who's getting excited about seeing the new Star Bores film?
(yawn... I'd rather watch paint dry, then peel and flake, whilst poking my own liver with a hat pin)...
Each to their own, I guess. Considering I went to see the first one when I was around 5 or 6, I've grown up with the franchise and, yes, I'm excited to see it. I'll also be excited to see superman vs Batman, Star Trek Beyond and all the other sci-fi and fantasy films out next year.
