Mrs DL is a 'Strictly' nut ... and tonight is the Final!!!

She has voted a couple of times and no she hasn't asked the 'bill payer's permission'!!

I daren't tell her that I've voted for Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers already

New washing machine installed by the delivery people. Just had to get it out again though to double check as I wasn't there and don't trust them that much. Took a while to pull in and out of the small space we have for it, back is twinging now.

At least we got it now, so one less thing to think about (just have to pay for it, though).

Oi, we'll have none of your light-hearted washing machine tales here, this is the "serious thread", where we discuss things of great importance.

Like, have you noticed that the cost of adopting a polar bear has gone up this year? And why does adopting a penguin cost the same?

I'm thinking conspiracy!

Grimly stoic pizza of grand stature for dinner tonight.

might add some chilli sauce to bring some cheer to an otherwise austere occasion...

Should weight or mass be a deciding factor in adoption fees? Perhaps penguins are far more demanding?

The day that a penguin costs as much to feed as a polar bear will be the day i stop ordering pizza of a grand stature.

Other than food, they both live in icy environments, and neither need socks. What other expenses can there be?

Conspiracy, I tell you!

I mean, does this make penguins really expensive, or is a polar bear just really good value?

Questions that should be asked...

I'd feel a little put out if I got a postcard from my adopted penguin and he had a solid gold grill in his beak and Nike trainers.

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
