I'll get them on Blu-ray I expect.
Think i will stick with the new slimline, think they look nicer and also has a big memory!
If i was buying myself then i would consider a SH one but i think i would rather go with a new one!

Hah, bought the new Harry Potter DVD (2 disc) for my Dad for Christmas from Amazon. Now they've refunded me over half the price because it went down in price just as it was sent out. Only cost me £6.25 in the end. That's a nice surprise.

Could always get a 60GB Backward Compatible model in Gamestation if you have one nearby. They're doing good bundles on SH consoles. But make sure to get their (fairly cheap) 3 year warranty too so you're completely covered.
Then later you can get a nice 240GB or bigger 2.5" Hard Drive to go in it.

Thanks pete - i will be using mine for Blu Ray, PSN Store and the games, it will not get under used, can think of at least 5 games that are ps3 exclusive i want right now lol.
But getting it for Christmas makes it more affordable.

Spent some of last night working on my website (well, writing part of its blog...). Most of the evening was on Assassins Creed 2. Absolutely loving it and actually feel complelled to write a review for it - it just keeps getting better!

Emmie,have you checked out the second hand prices on a PS3 ?,with the new sleek,slim and sexy model now out maybe the older models could be picked up a little bit cheaper these days ?.Don't know if this is the case,just a thought.3 of my mates bought PS3's on release,2 of them sold them (and went back to their 360's) and the other just uses it as a Blu Ray player,so there must be decent used models about ?.Will keep an eye for any bundle deals,sometimes it can best to buy them,sell all the unwanted extras and usually end up with a cheap console (know a couple of people who have done that).If I see anything will let you know mate.
