Saturn, yes, still got one (just about working), Jaguar no, mainly because by the time I was going to get one Atari had already announced it was pretty much dead.

But I used to play on a friend's Jaguar. Alien vs predator was fantastic, the joypad less so.

I lost interest in the PS3 the moment they began losing exclusives. I feel like there's something to rival most of its best games on the Xbox 360 so why would I bother shelling out extra?

Did you have a Saturn and Jaguar to go with your N64 and PS1?

I guess if you love films and have a big tv then it's the PS3, if you like playing online and being insulted by 12 year old americans then it's the Xbox 360.*

* - put me right off and I never went back, is it still pretty bad?

Couldn't really choose between them to be honest, I'd feel left out without one or the other.

The fate of the console geek. I've been the same since the SNES and megadrive, had to have all the big consoles and handhelds.

Again, i reiterate, the only thing that originally put me off a PS3 was the price. Now that's come down to pretty much Xbox Elite level, plus it's got Bluray and free online, PS3 seems like the more enticing console.

What if Microsoft didn't extend their warranty from one year to three years? I wonder how much this has (and still) cost them. It'll be interesting when the Wii 2 comes out and see whether that has a much higher failure rate.

£269 for a PS3 (250gb) or £266* for an Xbox Elite (120gb)

It would be nice to have a blu ray player, I notice they're not super expensive now. Loads of great movies for under a tenner and the boxsets are good too.

It's a case of trying to beat the opponet to the punch with new untested technology as fast as possible. Obviously this then gets 'beta tested' on the public. The more complicated the tech, the more likely it is to fail. You only need to look at the Wii to see that.

Saying that, my original Xbox AND the PS2 Slim I had both had to have the DVD drive replaced. Both Sony and MS replaced them quickly though.

My chunky PS2 from years and years ago is still running fantastically. Sadly, I'm probably going to be on that while my 360 gets fixed. Still haven't been sent a printable address from microsoft so will have to wait.

pb if I had the money that is what I would do instead of buying an iPhone. This iPod touch was definitely worth every penny and it was great after Christmas when they gave away lots of music videos/movies/games for free.

Gameboy, Megadrive, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, Xbox, all mine survived well, so what's up with the 360?
